These Terms of Use apply to individuals who register for Justice Ready through the public sign-up process and use the Service on their own behalf. Lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, law firms and other professional users who use Justice Ready in connection with services provided to clients are subject to a separate Pro Services Agreement with Justice Ready. A lawyer or paralegal using Justice Ready solely for their own legal matter is treated as a public user under these Terms.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Justice Ready website, web-based application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing the website, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Nature of the Service

Justice Ready provides software tools that assist users in preparing legal documents based solely on information entered by users.

The Service is a document automation platform designed to help users create, organize, and format legal documents.

The Service may include explanatory text, examples, or workflow guidance intended to assist users in operating the software and understanding document preparation processes. Such materials are general in nature, are not tailored to any individual legal situation, and do not constitute legal advice.

Justice Ready does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services.

2. No Legal Advice

Nothing provided through the Service constitutes legal advice or a recommendation regarding legal strategy, claims, defences, procedural decisions, or legal rights.

Documents generated through the Service are created automatically based on user input and are not reviewed by a lawyer.

The Service is not a substitute for advice from a licensed lawyer or paralegal.

Users are encouraged to obtain independent legal advice where appropriate.

3. No Lawyer-Client Relationship

Use of the Service does not create a solicitor-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or professional advisory relationship between you and Justice Ready Inc.

Communications with Justice Ready are not protected by solicitor-client privilege.

4. Law Society of Ontario Access to Innovation Disclosures

By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge the following disclosures.

Justice Ready Inc. is an approved participant in the Law Society of Ontario's Access to Innovation program ("A2I").

Justice Ready's participation in A2I, and the Law Society of Ontario's approval, are limited to the specific Approved Services set out in Justice Ready's A2I Certificate (the "Approved Services").

Justice Ready provides technology-based document preparation tools through the Justice Ready platform. The Law Society of Ontario monitors Justice Ready's Approved Services as part of the A2I program.

Justice Ready does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal services.

Justice Ready is not a law firm and is a business owned by non-lawyers. Justice Ready's Approved Services are not provided by a lawyer or paralegal licensed and regulated by the Law Society of Ontario.

The Law Society of Ontario has not certified or endorsed the effectiveness of Justice Ready's services.

Some service protections applicable to legal services provided by a lawyer or paralegal licensed and regulated by the Law Society of Ontario may be different or may not be available in connection with Justice Ready's Approved Services, including:

Another party's use of Justice Ready does not give that party access to your account, documents, uploaded files, or personal information.

Use of Justice Ready does not create a lawyer-client relationship, solicitor-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or professional advisory relationship between you and Justice Ready.

The Law Society of Ontario is not responsible or liable to you for any claims, losses, damages, or matters arising from the advertising of Justice Ready's services, the provision of the Approved Services, the suitability of the Approved Services for your intended purposes, or any other quality, availability, service, failure, or liability issue relating to Justice Ready or the Approved Services.

Justice Ready may be required to provide information to the Law Society of Ontario to ensure Justice Ready's compliance with the A2I program and for the evaluation of the A2I program.

By accepting these Terms, you expressly authorize Justice Ready to disclose your personal information to the Law Society of Ontario for the purpose of ensuring Justice Ready's compliance with the A2I program and evaluating the A2I program.

To provide feedback or make a complaint about Justice Ready, the Approved Services, or your experience using Justice Ready, please contact support@justiceready.ca.

Justice Ready will review your complaint, may contact you for additional information, and will make reasonable efforts to respond to, address, and resolve the complaint.

5. User Responsibility

Justice Ready is designed to help users prepare, organize, and format legal documents based on the information they enter into the Service. The Service is intended to support document preparation, but it does not replace the user's responsibility to review documents and make decisions about their legal matter.

You are responsible for:

Justice Ready does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or legal adequacy of user-provided information.

You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for securing access to your account, including by using strong passwords and enabling available security features such as multi-factor authentication where appropriate.

6. No Guarantee of Court Acceptance or Outcomes

Justice Ready is designed to assist users in preparing documents based on commonly used formats and procedural requirements under the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure, the Ontario Rules of the Small Claims Court, and related court practices.

However, court rules, forms, and filing requirements may change, and courts or registries may apply procedural requirements differently.

Justice Ready does not guarantee that any document generated using the Service will be accepted by any court, tribunal, registry, or governmental authority.

Users are responsible for reviewing all documents before use or filing and for ensuring compliance with applicable court rules, practice directions, and filing requirements.

7. Educational Information Only

Any explanations, examples, templates, or guidance provided through the Service are general informational materials and are not tailored to any individual legal situation.

8. Accuracy of User Inputs and Content

Documents generated by the Service depend entirely on information entered by users.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal authority to upload or input personal information relating to other individuals.

9. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable laws.

You may not use the Service to impersonate another person, submit false information, or engage in unlawful activity.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, design, text, branding, and functionality of the Service are the property of Justice Ready Inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of documents and content they create or upload.

11. Privacy

Use of the Service is subject to the Justice Ready Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Permitted Use and Protection of the Service

Justice Ready provides access to the Service for lawful document preparation, document organization, and related account use.

Justice Ready does not permit use of the Service for unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.

You may not:

Justice Ready may limit, suspend, or terminate access to the Service where Justice Ready reasonably believes that an account has been used in violation of these Terms, presents a security risk, or may cause harm to the Service, other users, Justice Ready, or third parties.

13. Service Availability and Cessation of Operations

Justice Ready is intended to provide users with access to their account, documents, and uploaded files while the Service is operating and the user's account remains active and in good standing.

In the event that Justice Ready ceases operation of the Service, Justice Ready will make reasonable efforts to provide users with at least 60 days' advance notice and an opportunity to download or export their documents and uploaded files before access to the Service ends.

Users are responsible for downloading and keeping copies of any documents or records they wish to retain outside the Service.

Justice Ready may temporarily limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to perform technical updates, maintenance, or security work, or where Justice Ready reasonably believes an account has been misused, compromised, or used in violation of these Terms.

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

14. Payment Processing

Justice Ready may charge fees for access to certain paid features, documents, or services. Fees and applicable taxes will be disclosed at the point of purchase.

Justice Ready uses Stripe or another payment processor identified at checkout to process payments.

Justice Ready does not store full payment card information on its own systems.

By purchasing paid access to the Service, you agree to provide accurate and complete payment information. You authorize Justice Ready and its payment processor to process payment information and transaction information for the purpose of completing the transaction.

Payment processing services provided by Stripe may be subject to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy practices, as updated by Stripe from time to time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Justice Ready disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, Justice Ready Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or relating to use of the Service, including reliance on generated documents, court rejection of documents, procedural issues, or legal outcomes.

For users in Ontario, Justice Ready Inc.'s total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed $2,500.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

18. Changes to These Terms

Justice Ready may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
